When The Rain Beckons
Overcast skies,
Deep breaths,
It drizzles.
In the pockets of my jeans,
Uncertainty and visions of the future,
It drizzles more.
The raindrops race down the windows,
Is it still about winning?
It is raining now, lightly though.
I wear my hope,
Let my sorrows cascade like the rain,
The raindrops are audible on the glass now.
A laugh.
Is that how it sounded like?
I laugh too, in tune with the rain.
Open windows and outstretched hands,
The water is a welcome sensation,
This rain is good.
I comb my hair and with it brush away fears,
Enough tears,
The rain is loud now.
I wear courage and walk out,
The water embraces me. I am ready for this. I smile as I walk into this rain,
