A Lament of Farewell
A cold kiss.
So it has begun,
Spilt wine & chocolate stains,
The smell of filter coffee pervades the air,
Everything is losing its warmth,
Phone vibrates: Message received,
Not as exciting anymore,
A cold kiss again...
A warm hug.
Immersed in irrevocable longing,
The silence is deafening: So loud!
Let go. Move on. Or both? But how?!
She smiles at you, reminiscing the past,
A cold hug. Change is constant.
Tears spilled and a warm kiss:
This is farewell...
So it has begun,
Spilt wine & chocolate stains,
The smell of filter coffee pervades the air,
Everything is losing its warmth,
Phone vibrates: Message received,
Not as exciting anymore,
A cold kiss again...

A cold hug. Change is constant.
Tears spilled and a warm kiss:
This is farewell...
