The endurance of memories
What is the lifespan of a memory?
Is it dependent on how often I think of you,
Or on experiences more contemporary?
Either way, I am afraid of forgetting, however few;
If in truth, memories need new experiences to survive,
Please visit me in my dreams more often,
Without you, sometimes i do not really feel alive,
I fear, as slowly, the sound of your voice softens;
The laughter we shared, the experiences we had,
Wounds healed and sorrows overcome,
For all of those instances I am truly glad,
Cannot wait for us to meet, what if that moment does not come?
You are my brother, forever will be,
Be with me always, to this you see.
THIS POEM IS DEDICATED TO MY BEST FRIEND WHO IS NOT PHYSICALLY PRESENT WITH ME ANYMORE CAUSE I GUESS GOD WAS JEALOUS OF ME FOR HAVING HIS COMPANY FOR SO LONG, SO HE TOOK HIM TO HEAVEN A BIT TOO SOON.
SHUBHANAN, LOVE YOU BRO.....THIS IS ALL YOU!
